Present and Long - Term Mission

 

MISSION STATEMENT: “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all these for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings” (1 Cor. 9:22-23).

 

  1. THE PHILADELPHIA CHURCH

A. Urban

    1. Evangelization in the Headquarter (Hipodrom Quarter):
    • Prayer Walks
    • Distribution of NT and Brochures with the Bulletin of the Church included (containing the location, schedule and Mission)
    1. The Youth Church. Target: young couples, friends, neighbors, school-mates, etc.
    2. Nursering
    3. Contemporary, relevant services: Preaching, Singing, Relationships using modern means of communication (Simple, Straight and Short)
    4. Social Care Mission: the Poor, the Sick and the Needy (at home, at hospitals, in the street, etc.)
    5. Preparation for Ministry: Training Courses for potential leaders (Equiping, Empowering and Encouraging)
    6. Youth Ministry:
    • motivating the Youth for ministry (school, work-place, street, hospitals, orphaniges, etc.)
    • participation in the churches’ services

(singing, preaching, drama, etc.)

    • EvangelisticYouth Camps (on holidays)
    1. Child Ministry: Sunday School, Camps, Vacation Bible School, etc.

B. Rural: the Truth Church, Poplaca Village

    1. A New Location for the Church (easy access, more space for parking, activities, etc.,
    2. Vacation Bible School: reaching the unsaved parents through their children
    3. Spiritual and Material Support
    4. The Old, the Sick and the Needy

C. Global

    1. Preparation for Ministry: Mission Training Programs (Theology and Culture)
    2. Seminary Training: The Torch Trinity Graduate School of Theology in Seoul, Korea (one graduate and one prospective student)
    3. Summer Bible Institute at the HPM (visiting professors and missionaries). General Target: The 10-40 WINDOW.
    4. Special Target: South Bulgaria and Turkey (Near and Middle East)

 

         II. THE HOREB PRAYER MOUNTAIN

A. A Place of Haven (Personal)

    1. Reading, Meditation, Prayer, and Fasting
    2. Spiritual Counseling
    3. Healing and Deliverance
    4. Direction and Dedication

B. A Place of Guidance and Counseling (Pastoral): Pastors, Church Leaders, Missionaries, Social Care Workers, etc.

    1. Seminars: Motivation and Re-Dedication
    2. Prayer and Fasting: Guidance and Goals
    3. Pastoral Counseling (nowhere done in the country)
    4. Purpose: Preaching of the Gospel of Christ – Simplicity and Power (the Christian Moral Standard)

C. A Place of Training and Sending-Out Missionaries (Professional)

    1. Summer Bible Institute (Visiting Professors and Missionaries)
    2. Seminars: Teaching, Motivation, and Dedication
    3. Conferences: the Renewal of Vision (Up-Dates from the Christian Field)
    4. Fasting and Prayer: the Antioch Programme

D. A Place of Healing and Recovery: Burnt-Out Ministers

NOTE 1: Many of the above Statements of Mission are but part of the vision for the HPM (God willing, this late Summer part of it would become functional).

NOTE 2: Both Philadelphia Church and the HPM function as independent, non-denominational entities.

Our Confession of Faith is from 2 Tim. 3:16-17,

“All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Prayer Requests:

  1. the completion of the Project (the Multi-Purpose Building, the Chapel, and the Open-Air Amphitheatre (for reading, meditation, prayer, worship and Evangelistic Meetings)
  2. purchasing of new land (the immediate vecinity): the goal is to get the whole Mountain
  3. preparation of leaders, supervisors, and trainers
  4. spiritual and material resources
  5. protection (the place is desolate and robbery is common). Note: from the time we came there, no robbery took place!
  6. the need for an administrator
  7. keeping in step with the Vision
  8. sound mind and doctrine
